Third ATR turboprop for VA arrives

Virgin Australia's third ATR 72-500 has been handed over to operator Skywest Airlines for further development of the airline's regional routes.

As part of that strategy, Virgin Australia commenced services between Brisbane and Gladstone and between Brisbane and Port Macquarie this week using the turboprop aircraft.

The ATR 72 will also service the Sydney-Port Macquarie route.

Under its alliance with Virgin Australia, Skywest operates and maintains the 68-seat ATR 72?500 aircraft on behalf of Virgin Australia using Virgin Australia’s branding and quality inflight product and service.
