Skywest Airlines has appointed Alan Stuart as the new General Manager Sales & Marketing.

Stuart has 20 years of industry experience across public and private sectors, including senior roles with Qantas, Serco, and Great Southern Railway.

Skywest is looking to call on Stuart’s experience in strategic planning, financial and relationship management, sales, marketing and public relations to progress the business.

 

Air New Zealand will be enabling its new Boeing 777-300 aircraft with mobile phone and data capability.

The new service will enable passengers to use their iPhone, Blackberry or GSM mobile phone to send and receive emails and text messages during flights.

Customers will also be able to use Netbooks or laptops with mobile broadband connections to access emails and internet.

The airlines says it does not currently plan to enable voice calls onboard.

Air New Zealand’s first B777-300 is due for delivery in November 2010.

The new mobile text and data service is subject to regulatory approval.

 

Macau will host Asian Business Aviation on 10-11 June 2010.

The event will include a display of business aircraft at Macau International Airport, and a conference for industry leaders and prospective buyers.

Aircraft from Cessna, Dassault, Embraer, Gulstream, Hawker and Bombardier have been confirmed as part of the display.
