Melbourne's RMIT has negotiated another export deal for its Aviation English training and testing products.
RMIT English Worldwide (REW) has signed a contract with KIST Aviation Academy in Kuala Lumpurs.
About 300 aviation personnel including pilots and air traffic controllers have been tested to date in Malaysia by REW.
The new contract includes the RMIT English Language Test for Aviation (RELTA) and “Beyond Level 4”, a program focused on reaching and maintaining English proficiency.
The signing ceremony was officiated at by Captain Dato Yahaya, Director of Flight Operations at the Department of Civil Aviation in Malaysia.
The President of KIST Group Holdings, Muhamad Zamly Abdullah, and senior management also attended the event.
REW was represented by Grant Taylor, Commercial Director, and Daryl Martin, Business Development Manager – Aviation.
“We are excited to be working closely with the KIST Aviation Academy to deliver quality English language programs in Malaysia,” Mr Taylor said.
“RELTA is a world leader in the testing of English language proficiency for pilots and air traffic controllers, with more than 22,700 candidates tested worldwide.
“Our ‘Beyond Level 4’ online e-learning package assists aviation professionals with maintaining language proficiency between ICAO tests.”
REW is a division of RMIT Training, a company associated with RMIT University.
REW works closely with global industry, international universities and institutions, and foreign government organisations to provide a range of tailored English programs and assessment.
