Phenom 100 for training in Australia

China Southern Flying College in Western Australia has purchased an Embraer Phenom 100 for flying training.

The Perth-based college, which is a joint venture between China Southern and CAE, has also ordered a CAE 5000 Series Level D full-flight simulator to use in conjunction with the Phenom. It is expected to be in operation by the end of next year.

Embraer's VP marketing and sales for the  Asia Pacific arena, Jose Eduardo Costas, said that "the Phenom, with its pilot-friendly cockpit and docile flying qualities, 100 is the perfect platform for pilot training and instruction.

"Its availability at the CAE Global Academy Perth will offer cadet pilots in Asia Pacific a viable regional location to receive this jet and crew coordination training."
