Ocean Software does business in Finland

The Finnish Air Force Materiel Command has completed a purchase agreement to acquire the Operations and Training Management System - FlightPro™ from Melbourne-based Ocean Software.

This agreement is the outcome of a competitive tender process for delivery to the Flight Operations Management Services project requested in June 2009.

The project will deliver a comprehensive scheduling, aircrew currency & qualification management, asset status and capability reporting tool to the Finnish Defence Forces at a whole-of-force level.

The initial implementation will be at the Tikkakoski and Kauhava Air Bases, providing FlightPro™'s comprehensive Training Management System capability to the Training Air Wing and Air Force Academy.

Then the full roll out will include all air force units, the helicopter battalion, artillery brigade (UAV) and Air Force Command Finland.

"Ocean Software is very excited to extend the Unit Level Tool concept from Australia where it was first implemented as JP2030 Ph7b, to a second whole-of-country delivery," said Ocean Software's sales & marketing director Adam Hogan.

"This selection is evidence of FlightPro™'s maturity as a comprehensive enterprise capable toolset for the management of aviation operations, including all airborne assets and the resources used to support them.

"We hope that Finland is the first of many European countries to join our international User community."
