Inaugural Asian business aircraft show looking good

The first Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) is scheduled for 27-29 March next year.

The event is being organised by the Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre (SHPBAS), a joint venture between Hawker Pacific and the Shanghai Airport Authority.

“With less than six months to go until the ribbon-cutting officially opens ABACE next March, we are very pleased with the progress of our planning, and delighted with the reception the event has received,” reported Carey Matthews, General Manager for SHPBAS).

“ABACE is drawing significant attention from the local aviation community, and is being heavily subscribed. And, with a significant increase in business aircraft traffic in the last 12 months, the interest in Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is at an all-time high within China’s corporate aviation community.”

The 2012 event, which will be hosted at the Joint Venture's FBO/MRO facilities on Shanghai Airport, is designed to be a "premier buying and selling venue and a world-class meeting forum for the Asian business aviation community. It is expected to attract up to 6000 delegtaes and 200 exhibitors, with a static display line of around 30 aircraft.

The inaugural ABACE event will be hosted at the Joint Venture’s Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facilities on Tuesday March 27th, Wednesday March 28th and Thursday March 29th, 2012.
