First Hobart 60KVA with DC delivered to Australian market

On the 15/09/09 a major logistics firm based in Brisbane took delivery of the new Hobart 60KVA GPU.

It is the first of its kind in Australia. 

This company will now be leading the way in ground power by taking advantages of the technology and cost reduction that comes with the new generation Hobart’s.

This new QSB Cummins diesel engine not only to meets current tier 3 emissions standards, but also offers up to 20% less fuel consumption and superior regulation via the engines’ electronic control module.

Another advantage of the new 60KVA unit is that it is fitted with an in line lubricity fuel filter which allows the customer to run the Ground power unit on JetA1.

This saves time and money on airports where standard diesel isn’t readily available or is too expensive.

The new standard features on the 60KVA ground power unit are

* Corrosion free 132 Litre fuel tank.

* Low Fuel warning and automatic shutdown.

* Delayed stop (for turbo protection) and emergency shutdown.
