China Southern increases Sydney service

China Southern Airlines has announced it will increase its service from Sydney Airport to a double daily.

The additional service will commence on 31 October 2010.

“Sydney Airport has been pleased to work with the NSW Government to secure this important addition to capacity on the key Sydney-Guangzhou route,” Sydney Airport CEO Russell Balding said.

“Last year Sydney Airport welcomed more than 200,000 arrivals from China and this number is growing strongly.”

Balding called the timing of the announcement “especially good” as Sydney's International Terminal upgrade is approaching completion.
