Carpet specialist Brintons worked on the designs for Singapore Airport's Terminal 3 for more than three years, in conjunction with lead interior designers Woodhead.
Brintons supplied five different designs in total and all have been praised as being a great design aspect of the space, whilst being very practical in hiding stains etc.
The Terminal 3 project involved the design and manufacture of 100,000 square metres of axminster carpet, using the standard high quality Brintons yarns manufactured in three separate plants to ensure supply by the agreed deadline.
Separate but associated contracts involved the supply of carpet for the Singapore Airlines lounges and the transit airport hotel.
The concourse carpet was installed using a direct-stick installation method to ensure comfortable walking with trolleys.
While in the lounges the carpet was installed using the double bond method to create comfort by installing underlay also.
Brintons believes it was successful in obtaining the Terminal3 contract because of a proven track record in the Airport's T1 and T2 precincts in the past.
