CFI conference to be run in conjunction with Safeskies 2011

Registration is about to open for the CASA-sponsored 2011 National Chief Flying Instructors conference.

The conference is being held in Canberra on 26 and 27 October 2011, in conjunction with the Safeskies conference.

Places at the Chief Flying Instructors conference are limited, so it will be important to book early.

Registration can be done on-line at the CASA web site from early September 2011.

The conference will focus on two key issues: threat and error management and generational learning styles. Both topics are vitally important to all chief flying instructors.

People who take part in the conference will hear from experts on these topics, as well as taking part in debates and discussions with aviation colleagues.

The conference will cover issues relevant to both fixed wing and rotary pilot training.

There is no charge for the conference, which is being held at Canberra's Hyatt Hotel, with CASA meeting the costs.

Anyone planning to attend should register as soon as bookings open, as well as making accommodation reservations as early as possible due to the popularity of Safeskies.
