Airbus expands its after-market capability with acquisition of Satair

Airbus has purchased Danish after-market specialist Satair to enhance its own service offering in aircraft material management.
    
Satar is a global supplier of aircraft parts and service solutions for aircraft maintenance. It offers various services, ranging from parts supply and dsitribution to a selection of tailor-made service provider solutions.
    
In the Asia Pacific region, Satair also offers repair services on a broad selection of its product portfolio.
    
Satair's customers include all types of commercial operators and maintanance providers as well as several military operators.
    
The company serves its business partners through sales and warehousing locations in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
    
Airbus says that the acquisition will enable it "to capitalise on its own commercial network together with Satair's offering and distribution capabilities in order to position itself as a leading global service and support provider for airlines and maintenance, repair and overhaul providers".
